Carolyn M. Bosworth

Carolyn M. (Marecki) Bosworth, 69, of Bristol, died on Wednesday (December 20, 2017) at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center. Carolyn was born in Bristol on July 8, 1948 and was one of two daughters of the late Adam J. and Harriet (Rudzinski) Marecki. She was a lifelong Bristol resident and a graduate of Bristol Eastern High School. She worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families before her retirement. A very giving person, she enjoyed shopping, doing crafts at home, and playing cards with her friends. Carolyn is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Roslyn and Arthur Valentine of Terryville; a sister and brother-in-law: Kathleen and Jay Pelletier of Bristol; two grandchildren: Jessie Lyn Valentine and Arthur Jon Valentine; a niece, Tricia Pelletier, and a nephew, Jay Pelletier. She was predeceased by her son, Keven Bosworth in 1987. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday (December 22, 2017) between 10 and 11:30 AM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06011.
