Beverlie (Perkins) Offen, 93, of Bristol, widow of Paul Offen, died on Sunday (July 9, 2017) at The Pines at Bristol.

Beverlie was born in Melrose, MA on February 13, 1924 and was a daughter of the late Albert and Ernestine (Ormsby) Perkins. Raised in Southington, she has been in Bristol since 1960. She was a graduate of Hartford Hospital’s School of Nursing before going to work as a registered nurse at local hospitals before finishing her career at the former Reid Treatment Center in Avon. As a resident of The Pines, she enjoyed the company of the nurses and aids looking after her.

Beverlie is survived by three sons: Robert Watson of Georgia, Donn Watson and wife, Joan, of Bristol, and David Watson and wife, Suzanne, of New Hampshire; her sister, Priscilla DeBisshop of Jupiter, FL; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son: Dale Watson, her brother: Robert Perkins, and her former husband, George Watson.

A graveside service and burial took place on July 12, 2017 at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, officiated by Pastor Laura Galbraith of Asbury United Methodist Church, Forestville.
