It is with sorrow that the family of Bernice K. Plouffe, of Bristol, announce her passing on August 29, 2021. She died peacefully at Bristol Hospital at the age of 84. Bernice was born in Poland on February 24, 1937 and was raised in Burlington.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at Mary A. Callen School and Wallace Barnes Company. Her private life was characterized by her love of pets, especially her Sheltie dogs. She enjoyed cooking and excelled in her crafts such as knitting, crocheting, and artistic rug weaving. She expressed her appreciation of nature with occasional trips to view the foliage in Northern New England with Gene.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Leon E. “Gene” Plouffe, Jr. to whom she was married 64 years, and numerous in-law relatives, nieces, nephews, and her adoptive siblings. Her predeceased adoptive parents were Mary and Walter Krawiec of Burlington.
