Benjamin J. Corriveau

Benjamin J. Corriveau, Jr., 82, beloved husband of Simonne (Dubord) Corriveau, died on Wednesday (March 11, 2020) at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center.  Ben was born on November 20, 1937 in Waterbury and was a son of the late Benjamin Corriveau, Sr. and Amelia (LeBlanc) Corriveau. Ben served his country honorably in the United States Navy.  He worked for Superior Electric until retiring.  For 10 years he drove the courtesy van for Gallagher Buick and truly enjoyed driving customers where they needed to go, making friends along the way.  A parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, Bristol, he enjoyed playing golf and detailing/fixing his cars.  A master-of-all-trades, he loved puttering in his garage and he also enjoyed woodworking.  In addition to beloved his wife, Ben is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Mark Trahan of Bristol; a brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Kim Corriveau; six sisters: Corrine Nelson, Lois Ashe and her husband Dennis, Judy Alexander, Linda Williams and her husband Carl, Gail Corson, and Jeanne Brazelle, and his dear sister-in-law:  Carmen Bolduc.  His two grandchildren Amber Marie Trahan and Eric Trahan were the love of his life and he was so proud of them.  Ben was blessed with several nieces and nephews including those close to his heart:  Diane Kelley, Marty Bolduc and Ron Corriveau Jr.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Paul J. Corriveau, a brother, Ronald Corriveau, and a sister, Vina Schott.

A Mass of Christian Burial and burial with military honors will be held at a later time.
