Barbara Brown

Barbara (Parker) Brown, 82, of Bristol, beloved wife of Edward “Eddie” Brown, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at home. Barbara was born on December 1, 1940 in Waterbury and was a daughter of the late Homer and Theda (Griffen) Parker. She worked for many years for the Visiting Nurses Association as a CNA. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and going to the casino. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Henry Fiendel of Torrington and Robert (Katie) Jones of Canton; two daughters: Karen Morzella of Wolcott and Tracy Bobola of Bristol; two step-daughters Kimberly Pisarski of Terryville and Paula Sampson of Bristol; four sisters: Janice Stride of ME, Claire Schlicer of Thomaston, Brenda Parker of Danbury and Jean Childs of ME; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special thank you to “My Girl Trish”, Trisha Tillson-Wadowski. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister Edith Mozzicatto. 

The visiting hours will be this Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. A catholic service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday morning, June 4, 2023 at 11 AM.  Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
