Augustus “Gus” Paul Boi, beloved husband of 69 years to Marie Anita (Bernier) Boi, died peacefully on January 8, 2021 in his home in Bristol, CT. Gus was a lifelong resident of Bristol who graduated from the University of Hartford with a Business degree and retired from Stanley Black & Decker. He was a member of St. Gregory Church, Bristol.
He leaves behind his son, Keith Boi and daughter-in-law Kathy Boi; his daughter Eileen Castolene and her children Nicole Mena, Stefan and Danielle Squillante, as well as four great grand-children Sedona, Arden, Caiden and Landon; his daughter Donna Veilleux and son-in-law Craig Veilleux, their children Mandy Osborn, Christopher Gustin and Joshua Veilleux, as well as three great-grandchildren Arianna, Bella and Sadie; his daughter Barbara Greger and son-in-law Michael Greger, and their children Kristen and Samantha Greger.
Gus started his young life with polio and proved that physical limitations do not disqualify you from living a long and successful life. In fact, he understood that he was stronger and sought out challenges with a goal toward excellence as a consequence. He loved food and spent a lifetime perfecting the recipes his family so dearly loved. Gus was also a superior model boat builder and an avid restorer of all manner of watches, furniture – whatever needed restoring.
