Armand Alex Gorneault, 89, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Wolcott, died on Thursday (May 13, 2021).
Armand was born on January 3, 1932 in Frenchville, Maine and was a son of the late Fred and Cecile (Deschaine) Gorneault. Prior to retiring he was employed at Marlin Rockwell in Plainville, and Acme Monico in New Britain. He had a great love of fishing, hunting, and any other thing he could do outdoors.
Armand is survived by his two daughters: Elaine Carlson and son-in-law, Bruce, and Renee Kohl and son-in-law Edwin Kohl, Jr.; two sons: Alan and Brian Gorneault; two brothers: Reginald Gorneault of Bristol and Lionel Gorneault of West Palm Beach, FL; four sisters: Sylvia Pelkey of Ft. Fairfield, ME, Yvette Picard of Poland Spring, ME, Lorrette Stec of Revere, MA, and Edwina Rodrigue of Lewiston, ME; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers: Donald, Albert, Paul, Richard, Vincent, and Reno; and five sisters: Arlene Beland, Emelia Thorten, Viola Gorneault, Bertha Dupre, and Roseanne Bowers.
Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Saturday, June 26, 2021, between 9 and 11 AM. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum, Bristol.
