Anne (Graham) Maggipinto, 84, of Bristol, and Harwich, MA, beloved wife of Joseph Maggipinto, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 5, 2021. Anne was born in Hartford on November 20, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Graham.
Anne was a dedicated educator for many years in the Bristol public and parochial schools. A lifelong Bristol resident, she graduated from Bristol High School and went on to attend Lesley College in Cambridge, MA where she received her bachelor’s Degree in Education and then earned a master’s Degree from Central Connecticut State University.
In addition to her husband of 60 years, Anne is survived by her four daughters (aka the four Ds) Donata Maggipinto Reeser and husband Courtney, Deidre Tavera and husband Frank, Diane Maggipinto and husband Brian and Dina Maggipinto Troupe and husband George. She was predeceased by her sister Marion Graham Lebel.
Anne was the beloved grandmother of Chance and Reynard Reeser, Katharine Tavera Collins, Evan and Emma Tavera and Aryana and Emilio Maffly. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and cherished friend to many.
Anne was an avid reader who enjoyed summers on the Cape, tending to her flowers, skiing at Round Top Mountain in Vermont and spending time with her dear friends and family. Anne will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to gather with Anne’s family for visiting hours at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Thursday, July 8, 2021 between 4 and 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Anne's life at Saint Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol at 10 AM. Christian burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
