September 11, 1964 ~ April 30, 2021 (age 56) 56 Years Old

Tribute

Ms. Amanda Marie (Sirois) O'Garth died unexpectedly at Bristol Hospital in the early morning hours of Friday, April 30th, 2021. She was 56 years old.

Amanda was born on September 11th, 1964 in Bristol, Connecticut to Clarence and Camilla (Fortin) Sirois. She graduated from Bristol Central High School in 1982 and she continued to live in Bristol, CT for the remainder of her life. She started working as a teenager and continued to work hard her entire life. She took care of her children while working full time as a single mother most times. She worked for Bristol Community Organization (BCO) for many years, and was one of her most rewarding jobs because she was able to help people in need and give back to the community she lived in. Caring for others was literally her life's mission and at the time of her passing, her mission had been more than accomplished. There isn't one person that she met who she didn't help, care about, or support in one way or another. Amanda was a very generous soul and even when she had nothing left to give, she'd still find a way to help. She loved promoting local businesses and many organizations, including one of her local favorites, "Brian's Angels" of Bristol, CT. She dedicated her life to making sure her parents were always tended to and that her family and friends never went without. She was the kindest, most caring and compassionate person any of us have ever known. She was literally an Angel on Earth and she will be missed by so many.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Clarence and Camilla (Fortin) Sirois of Bristol, CT; her two children: her daughter Jessica M. (Sirois) Llanos and her husband Cesar I. Llanos of Whitehall, PA, and her son Gary A. DeFilippe, Jr. and his wife Angela J. DeVito of Terryville, CT; her three grandchildren, who she adored: Ashley Benoit and her boyfriend Jose Santos of Allentown, PA, Alexandra Llanos and Christian Llanos both of Whitehall, PA; and her sister Lisa Cuadrado of Bristol, CT. She had many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, as well as many, many cousins. All her family members were important to her, but she had one special cousin in her life that she considered to be as a bonus sister, Sandra Tompkins of Bristol, CT. She was preceded in death by her older sister and one of her best friends, Pauline (Sirois) Deed of Newington, CT.
