Aline (Deschenes) Ouellette, 93, of Village Gate, Farmington, died on Wednesday (September 7, 2022) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington.
Aline was born in Drummond, New Brunswick, Canada on March 24, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Marie (Gagnon) Deschenes.
A longtime Plainville resident, she worked for Black and Decker for 22 years before retiring in 1994.
She was a faithful parishioner of St. Matthew Church, Bristol, who loved to pray the rosary. She enjoyed her time at Village Gate praying the rosary and exercising. She also enjoyed sewing and singing to her grandchildren.
Aline is survived by her husband, Rene Cormier; three children: Kenneth Ouellette and wife, Debbi of East Haddam, Marsha Royce of Old Saybrook, and Donald Ouellette and wife, Louise of Plainville; step-children: Rodney Cormier and Brenda Saucier and husband, Chuck, all of Bristol; a sister: Yvette Morgan of Rochester, NY; grandchildren: Kelly LaFaille and husband, Todd, Chrissy Ouellette, Elki Bayley and husband, Steve, Mya Rodowicz and husband, Curtis, Tina Hebert, Lisa Newton and husband, Sean, and Eric Saucier; great-grandchildren: Toby LaFaille, Annabelle and Izzy Rodowicz, Benjamin and Brycen Bayler, Leighton Hebert, and step-great-grandchildren: Michael and Mason Newton; several nieces and nephews, and special niece, Marise Ouellette of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada. She was predeceased by a son, Russell Ouellette; brothers: Leo and Pete Deschenes; and sisters: Ann Deschenes, Antoinette Parent, and Adeline Cote.
Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Tuesday (September 13, 2022) between 8:30 and 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebration at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol at 10 AM.
