Manuela Galan, 77, of Bristol, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford on November 26, 2021. Manuela was born on March 28, 1944 in Ecuador to the late Miguel Galan and Etelvina Salinas.
She came to the United States in 2000 and became a citizen a few years later which she was very proud of. Manuela worked for ESPN where she retired from after fifteen years. Family and God were the two most important pillars in her life. She is survived by three sons Victor and Lilian Sanmartin, Felipe Sanmartin, Diego and Valeria Sanmartin all of Bristol, a daughter Nube Sanmartin of Ecuador, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a brother Raul, four sisters Carmela, Rosa, Melania, Rebecca all of Ecuador, many nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be on Friday, December 3rd from 5 to 8 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, has the honor of serving Manuela’s family. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol on Saturday December 4th at 9 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
