William J. DiMeo

William J. DiMeo, 64, of Bristol, beloved husband of Linda (Werner) DiMeo, died on Sunday (February 16, 2020) at St. Francis Hospital. William was born on August 5, 1955 in Bristol and was a son of Viola (Boguslawski) DiMeo and the late James DiMeo. William honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He was born and raised in Bristol and was a parishioner at St. Anthony Church, Bristol. He was the sales manager for over twenty years at Terryville Chevrolet and loved his job. He was an avid Yankees fan and used to attend games yearly with his father. He also enjoyed classic cars and going to fairs, the beach and going for rides. He loved spending time with his family and his canine buddy, Gilbert. In addition to his wife and mother, William is survived by his son: James DiMeo of Bristol; his daughter: Sarah DiMeo of Bristol; his two brothers: Anthony “Ty” DiMeo and his wife Lorenda of Old Saybrook, Robert DiMeo and his wife Mary of Burlington; his sister: Jamie Levine and her husband Fred of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Febuary 21, 2020 at St. Anthony Church, 111 School Street, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
