September 26, 1981 ~ June 4, 2021 (age 39) 39 Years Old

Tribute

Nathan J. Barganier, affectionately known as “Nate”, 39, of Bristol, CT passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2021 following a sudden cardiac event. Nate was born on September 26, 1981 in New Britain, CT to JoAnn Barganier and the late John Barganier. Nate was fortunate enough to meet the love of his life Carrie at the young age of 16. They shared 24 years together, 13 of them in marriage, and were blessed to have three beautiful children who were the light of his life. He was an extremely devoted husband, father, and friend. Anyone who knew Nate knows how much he loved and cherished his family, as his wife and children were his world. To know Nate was to love him. He had a larger-than-life personality, always being the life of the party and his favorite motto was “the more the merrier.” His friends were truly treated like family and if friends could be counted like currency, Nate would be a millionaire. Nate was a die-hard NY Giants fan, and everyone knew that he had an open door policy every football Sunday where good times were shared and great memories were made. In addition to his mother JoAnn, he leaves behind his beloved wife Carrie and their three adoring children Ethan, Brandon, and Lillian Barganier, all of Bristol. He also leaves behind his brother and best friend Ryan Barganier and his wife Courtney of Southington, his sister Stephanie Barganier, whom he loved dearly, and her fiancé Mitesh Trivedi of Bristol, his maternal grandmother “Yiayia”Mallie Gladis of Bristol, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Gary and Irena Steeves of Plainville, his sister- in-law and brother-in-law Jennifer and Brian Cripps of Moro, IL, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jason and Michelle Steeves of Southbury, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his father John Barganier, his maternal grandfather Edward Gladis, and his paternal grandparents Anthony and Joan Pipitone. The visiting hours will be Monday, June 14th, from 4 to 8 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol who has the honor of serving Nate’s family. A Church service will take place on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11:30 AM in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 31 Brightwood Rd., Bristol.
