Marcel L. Boisvert

Marcel L. Boisvert, 98, of Austin, TX, formerly of Bristol, widower of Antoinette (Calderoni) Boisvert and Jennie (Segretario) Boisvert, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Marcel was born in St. Guillaume, Quebec, Canada, on December 22, 1922 and was a son of the late Edward and Diane (Boucher) Boisvert. Raised in Canada, he moved to Bristol in 1941 where he worked for Superior Electric for 40 years retiring in 1985. He was active at the Bristol Senior Center and attended St. Ann Church, Bristol. He moved to Austin, TX to be closer to his son in 2018.
Marcel is survived by his two children: Maria Boisvert and husband, Don Woo of San Jose, CA, and Carl Boisvert and wife, Mary, of Austin, TX; a sister: Gisele Gurovich of Unionville; three grandsons: Pearce, Drake, and Bryce Boisvert; and several nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (June 25, 2021) at 10 AM at Saint Ann Church, 215 West Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Thursday, June 24, 2021 between 5 and 7 PM.
