Hernan Ochoa, 65, of Bristol, beloved husband of Marithza Faican, passed away peacefully Sunday (April 7, 2024) at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Hernan was born on November 6, 1958 in Ecuador and was a son of Ninfa Ortiz of Ecuador and the late Tarquino Ochoa.
After immigrating to Bristol in 1994, Hernan worked at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Classic Coils, and Supreme Lake MFG. He was a very hard worker, but his best job was being a family man and a good friend.
Hernan enjoyed cooking and watching soccer. He was known for his delicious mashed potato and sweet potato pie at Thanksgiving time.
He will be truly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing the caring man he was.
In addition to his mother and his loving wife, Hernan is survived by two daughters: Maria Ochoa and husband, Hendry Farez and Patricia Ochoa and husband, Adam Roche, both of Bristol; siblings: Carmita, Wilson, Galo, Fanny, Geovany, Martha, Diego, and Juan Pablo; a beloved granddaughter: Victoria Ochoa; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (April 13, 2024) at 9:30 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to Saint Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Friday between 6 and 8 PM.
