Carroll J. Bilodeau, 86, of Terryville, died on Monday (January 11, 2021) at Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. Carroll was born on February 20, 1934 in Gardner, MA and was one of four sons of the late Lionel and Rose (Houde) Bilodeau.
He moved to Bristol at an early age where he graduated from Bristol High School. He attended Central Connecticut Teacher’s College before going to work for his parents at Bilodeau Appliance. There he worked several years before owning and operating Carroll’s Appliance Repair until retirement. His second home was his cabin in Bradford, VT where he enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed his hobbies of beekeeping, tending to his fruit trees, and drag racing as a member of the Drag-N-Run Car Club. He was a member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish attending St. Ann Church, Bristol.
Carroll is survived by his four children: Ronald Bilodeau and wife, Lisa of Winsted, Lynda Clark and husband, Chris of Cincinnati, OH, Paul Bilodeau and wife, Kristine of Bristol, and Annette Bilodeau and husband Paul Forbes of Wolcott; his wife, Irene (Belanger) Bilodeau; four grandchildren: Mitchell Bilodeau, Kristi Kosloski and husband, Nick, Ronny Bilodeau, and Alicia Moorman; a great-grandson: Shane; several nieces and nephews; and his loving partner: Claire Lavoie. He was predeceased by brothers: Dorsey, Kenneth, and Russell Bilodeau; and granddaughter: Nicole Ladrigan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (January 18, 2021) at 10 AM at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
