Allan (Alain) Kevin Pepin, 58, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023, Smilow Cancer Center with his love Laela Portal, by his side. Allan was born in Bristol on October 4, 1964, to the late Fernand and Jacqueline (Drouin) Pepin. He graduated from Bristol Central High School. After graduation he worked alongside his father at Pepin Iron Works in Bristol, CT. After the passing of his father, and many years of hard work and dedication, he successfully, with the help of his best friend and business partner, Kathy Pepin-Roussel grew the company and modernized it into what it is today, Pepin Steel and Iron Works. As a successful, respected and reputable International company that it is today and will continue to be in his honor. Allan is survived by his beloved son Ryan Pepin, who is his pride and joy and currently a student at Johnson and Wales University, his love Laela Portal, his lifetime confidant and best friend, Kathy Pepin-Roussel, and his longtime friend Michelle Martin and her two children Lexy and Aaron. In addition, he is also survived by his sisters Diane Pepin Joy and her spouse Rafael Alamo of Bristol, sister Lisette Pepin Lagosh, of Bristol, nieces Marnie Joy Wu and her husband Charlie Wu Delaware, niece Jennifer Lagosh of Portland, OR, nephew and first childhood best-friend Jack Joy and fiancé Patty Kelly of Harwinton, his little brother and nephew, Timothy and Karen Lagosh and their children, Maia and Ben of Burlington, in addition to countless friends who will miss him dearly. We cannot start remembering Allan without mentioning his trademark Harley Shirts, his dog and faithful companion Bailey at his heels, and of recent, his Block Island baseball cap. But his love of golf, his ambition to play every course in the continental United States and further was a monumental mission of his. He was also a champion pool player with many championship wins. Allan was the most charismatic, loving, caring, generous, kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. He wasn't a "No" man! He was the, "Let me get back to you on it" meaning, he will make it work for you....Always working. He was the bright light in any room. Generous to his community without needing the notoriety for his contributions and donations. But there will never be a person that cannot recall his loud joyful infectious laughter that could lighten up any room! That smile that you had to smile along with. - To know him was to love him.
