Maryann Hardy

August 4, 1962 ~ February 20, 2018 (age 55) 55 Years Old

Mary Ann Hardy passed away unexpectedly at home on February 20th, 2018. She is predeceased by her brother, William “Bill” Hardy who affectionately called her Kid and her brother Edward “Eddie” Hardy. She had five children with whom she had mixed relationships with: Junior, Susan Savior, Toni (Tiny) Little, Raymond Ramos and his wife Ali, and Eric Ramos and his wife Valerie. Along with her children she leaves behind her grandchildren: Jabi and Rj who she had an extra special relationships with, Tyra, Kenny, Isaiah,Raelee, Artez, and Hannah Marie who she recently reconnected with. She was the last Hardy sibling, an aunt to J. Eddie and Carol Hardy and their children and departed a few months shy of the birth of her newest granddaughter.

A lifelong Connecticut resident, Mary Ann was born in Hartford where she never strayed far from. She is known for the vibrant, rebel life she lived, her eccentric sense of humor, and the pranks she would play, especially on her children. At her best, she was a funny, loving mother who instilled the importance of family values. She overcame a serious drug addiction and was most proud of her sobriety that was nearing close to a decade. Mary Ann spent the last few years of her life battling several serious health issues and being cared for by her daughter Susan, who at one point dedicated her life to being her caretaker and by her son Ray and his wife Ali who gave her the gift of family. Mary Ann departs this earth as a loving grandmother, who spent time traveling with her family, attending graduations, Cook outs and school concerts. Most recently she reconnected with old friends who she was excited to spend time with. Mary Ann’s greatest accomplishments were her children, who carry her legacy onward. A new founder of faith she put her life in God’s hands and was ready to find out if the grass was truly greener on the other side. Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010 is assisting Mary Ann’s family.
