Jennie M. Cerra

Jennie M. (Compano) Cassille Cerra, 100, of Plainville, widow of Louis Cassille, Sr., and Fiore J. Cerra, died on Friday (October 27, 2017) at Apple Rehab in Plainville. Jennie was born on October 2, 1917 in Waterbury. She formerly lived in New Britain and worked for Cassille’s Italian Sausage before moving to Plainville where she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Jennie is survived by a daughter: Joanne McMahon of Bristol; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons: Theodore Cassille and Louis Cassille, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (November 3, 2017) at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Friday at 9 AM.
