Angelo V. Ingellis

Angelo V. Ingellis, 87, of Bristol, beloved husband of Georgette (Dumais) Ingellis, died on Sunday (June 18, 2017) at Village Green of Bristol. Angelo was born on December 31, 1929 in Bristol and was one of five children of the late Peter and Ellen (Smith) Ingellis. He was a lifelong Bristol resident and was a member of St. Gregory Church, Bristol.

Angelo was employed at New Departure before retirement and also was a Real Estate agent at Country Manor Realty for 30 years. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed gardening. He was known for dressing up as Santa for Nuchies restaurant during Christmas time and served as union steward for the former UAW Local #626.

In addition to his wife of 67 years, Angelo is survived by three sons: David Ingellis of Surprise, AZ, Marc Ingellis and his wife, Jody, of West Bay Harbor, FL and John Ingellis and his wife, Suzanne, of Kent; one daughter: Karen Melnick and her husband, Paul, of Bristol; ten grandchildren: Peter and Robert Melnick, Jenna, Angelina, Christina, Thomas, Lyndsay and John Ingellis, William Campbell and Charlie Miles; four great grandchildren: Lilith and Evelyn Ingellis and Jackson and Zoe Melnick; several loving nieces and nephews; and many special friends. He was predeceased by his brother, John Ingellis, and his three sisters, Hazel Hemond, Ann Lanza and Pauline Wells. Angelo’s family would like to thank the staff of Village Green for their care during this time.

A private funeral for the family was held on Thursday (June 22, 2017) at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, per Angelo’s request.
